Time To Relax

Reviews

We very much enjoyed our stay
and would stay here again. The view was beautiful, pool was great, the
room was clean and spacious, the staff was phenomenal, and the location
was perfect. Mini golf at the resort was fun. Every morning we took our
coffee and walked along the beach. Having your own kitchenette was so
nice. We stopped at Costco when we landed and got a few things such as
sandwich fixings, eggs, fruit, and alcohol. It eliminates the need to
have to eat out for every meal. We travelled with our 5 month baby, so
having the bedroom separate from the living room was very helpful. Overall loved the
stay.

No complaints about this place.. it's just sad that people around
Lahaina are going through a tough time right now. Even with the disaster
going on, the staffs were still courteous and respectful in answers
questions.. my heart goes out to them all.

This was an amazing place to
stay: great location, fitness gym, pool, jacuzzi, and beach. It was
central to all of the activities we wanted to do while on the island of
Maui. Gordon was also very responsive to any questions we had before the
trip. We didn't have any questions while we were in Maui so there was
no reason to contact him. We will definitely book again with Gordon
should we visit Maui again.

Awesome spot with great location on the beach. Room was large and has a great balcony overlooking the mountains, caught some amazing rainbows there.

Thanks Gordon! Loved the place and location.

We had a wonderful time at the resort. I got injured pretty badly on day 3/4 of our trip which resulted in quite a bit of bed rest and limited mobility. The staff checked on me daily to ensure I was okay and to wish me well. They went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable. The view from the room isn’t the best but you can still see the ocean and it was relaxing and again quite wonderful. We bought our own snorkeling gear and snorkeled right off the beach at the hotel and had such a fun time (of course this was pre-accident) if we had a do over I would definitely choose this hotel/stay the same. Overall we had a wonderful time!

Great place! Very clean. Easy checkin. Everyone there was so helpful. Wonderful pool. Would definitely recommend and come back to. A little tricky to Uber/Lyft because of lack of drivers, but resort staff was able to call cabs which got there pretty quick.

We didn’t have the sunset side as we faced the other direction in room 915. But come on we were so close to the sand and the views were fantastic! I liked seeing the BBQs to see how busy it was getting. But with at least 8 bbqs it was never a problem getting in. Pool is amazing and perfect temperature. They have a nice public beach, although small, good snorkeling. Wish it was a little easier for my semi disabled hubby to get down to it though. It was a one and done for him. Food at the grill was very good. Bellmen were so nice and helpful, call you a taxi, no problem. Uber and Lyft were a problem though everywhere. Scheduled rides never came. Made us think twice about heading out unless we had a taxi to return. Strongly suggest a rental car unless you just want to hang out around here. There is a grocery store, Times Mkt within walking distance. Also up the road away from Lahaina are some good eatery’s, not far on foot. We were pleased with the place and big rooms.

Kaanapali Beach Club is a great place to stay, and it is easy to get to other parts of town via the Maui bus that stops just down the road from the resort. The rooms are huge and offer great amenities. The pool is also very nice along with the beach. The staff are all very friendly, and it is overall a wonderful place to stay for a vacation in Maui!

We had a great time staying here. The staff was very friendly and the whole place was a beautiful spot to be for our vacation. My only complaints are that we booked for a king bed and were given two full beds because no rooms with a king bed were available. This made things slightly uncomfortable for us and we felt misled. Also, the description said “scenic view” but our view was the mini golf course and other balconies. Not exactly what I would consider scenic. Otherwise it was a great stay.

Great spot, especially if you’re traveling with kids! Having a private kitchen and separate rooms made all the difference. Great facilities and beautiful views too!

Gordon’s place was perfect for my boyfriend and I as well as my cousin and niece that arrived a day later. We were able to enjoy the sunrise with a view from our room every morning and we were close enough to restaurants and right on the beach. In the evenings we would enjoy drinks at the bar and my 5 year old niece loved the pool and all the activities at the resort. The bathroom was huge! This made it easy when we had to get ready. We also were able to cook a couple meals since we had a refrigerator, rice cooker and griddle. This place has everything we needed. The staff were all friendly and helpful also. I hope to come back again.

The view is amazing, not sure it can get any better than this room. Easy to check in and the resort was awesome for adults and kids.

We very much enjoyed our stay. Great views of both ocean and mountainside. Kids loved the pool and easy access to ocean and parents loved the Lava Flows! Great spring break trip!

Never stayed in the far north part of Kaanapali. It was nice being a bit away from the hustle-bustle of the heart of Kaanapali (boardwalk area). During Covid, it was super close to many conveniences (and food) and nice to kick back in the room and watch the whales from the balcony.

Beautiful, super clean, spacious, wonderful amenities, and incredible ocean front views! We highly recommend it!!!

Had a fantastic stay. Can't thank you enough or rave enough about your fabulous condo! Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us. We would love to stay there again in the future. P.S. The views are absolutely stunning!

As a review your right in the midst of everything your place is all around you with things to do from zip lining to whale watching to deep-sea fishing the sunset cruises and the views are outstanding and the people are so nice and happy that you’re there You won’t regret booking with Gordon. This is got to be one of the best vacations I’ve ever had and I want to say thank you to everyone!

This was probably the most enjoyable trip I’ve had in a long long time these are memories I’ll carry with me for the rest of my life my family and I enjoyed it immensely. I just want to thank Gordon for sharing his place with us and if you book with him you will be very very satisfied and relieved knowing you’ll have a great vacation. Thanks Gordon I hope to see you real soon!

This is a great spot for travelers planning an extended stay who need extra living space, but also want resort-style amenities. The rooms are spacious and updated. There are complimentary washers and dryers on each floor (use early!) and kitchen is outfitted with hot plate, blender, dishes, etc. Pool area and hot tub are also great and get crowded pretty early (even during Covid). I knew when booking there wasn't great beach access but I do think that's a downside to the resort. That said, the views out to the water are gorgeous. You can see whales in winter and enjoyed watching sunset from bbq area (resort provides cooking tools). Pro trip: request oceanview room ending in 01 upon check in. Has better, less obstructed view than 02 and 03.

Thank you for hosting us in Maui. We had a wonderful stay on island.

Great stay at the Kaanapali Beach Club! Watched whales from the balcony every morning, sat at the private beach for beautiful sunsets and enjoyed the pool/hot tub daily. Hope to return again some time soon!

Thanks Gordon for the great stay! Maybe we'll link up again for a visit next year. Take care!

Review From Maui - January 2021

"We really enjoyed our stay at Ka'anapali Beach Club and were overall really impressed! First off, the location is really nice. We've stayed in Wailea, the more expensive and ritzier part of the island before and now Lahaina, the more family friendly, lower key area and we personally MUCH prefer Lahaina and the Ka'anapali Beach area! It feels a bit cooler in general, the breeze never stops. It also has a more chill vibe in general, but with a LOT to offer, just not stuffy in any way, while still being really nice and full of terrific amenities! The condo and Ka'anapali Beach Club in general definitely exceeded our expectations! We expected a decent, clean, basic room with a few amenities at the resort but didn't plan to spending much time there, so it was perfect for us and fit our budget. The resort was MUCH more than than and the condo was very nice! The rooms have been updated (we stayed in January of 2021), furniture is now brightly colored and very clean. The king bed was comfortable! The sleeper sofa was not so we ordered a roll away which they happily brought to us at no charge. That was a much better option. The bathroom as very large and included a large tub, a standing shower, a separated toilet and two sinks. The kitchen was nice and well stocked with dishes and small appliances. We used the griddle for eggs & bacon a few times, the toaster daily and the coffee maker each day. The fridge is large for a condo and allows for plenty of storage. There was a large closet for storage of hanging clothes and empty suitcases, then plenty of drawers for easy storage of clothing, towels, etc. It was very clean, very well appointed and fit our needs perfectly. It's not a 5 star type of place but it's perfect for most people with reasonable expectations. We were VERY pleased! For the resort, it's really terrific! Excellent service, very large and spacious with meticulous care for covid precautions, sanitizing, etc. We saw cleaning of high touch places during most of our stay, sanitizing stations everywhere, consistent requests for masks, etc. If you are concerned about Covid, you will feel safe here. The amenities were much better than we expected! They have a large, very clean pool which is GREAT and includes a fun small pool with waterfalls that come into it (our kids LOVED it and sitting under the waterfalls), a waterslide for kids (and adults! ha!), a hot tub, a rental place for bike, boogie board, surf board and other types of rentals and also a bar and a restaurant. Also lots of chairs and not a lot of "chair hogging" like at some places. As for the food: we read all about the "usual" options at the restaurant and were excited to try things like the calamari, monkey bread, mac nut crusted mahi, fish tacos, etc....but unfortunately, Covid has ruined a lot of that and they are on a limited menu now. They still offer a full bar and now their food service is done through a service line where you order and take your food to go. You can eat at the pool overlook area and anywhere at the pool so it works out. We planned to eat at the hotel a bit more than we did because of this, but it wasn't an issue. We still ordered pizza/a burger/snacks a few times and drinks many times. It was all good, just not the full service style and full menu that you would find there in non Covid times. Best part is: there is a full time food truck fest that runs 7 days a week, just in front of the resort. It's maybe a 7 minute walk from the main lobby and most of it is just getting off the property. The food truck area offers great food and a huge variety, Thai/Vietnamese/Ribs & Meat/Fish & Poke/Greek/Mexican trucks and we fell in love with it, visiting many times. Highly recommend the short walk down there. The grocery store is directly across the street from the food trucks which is also so very convenient. We loved the area personally and also made the short drive to Whaler's Village which we highly recommend for shopping, lunch on the beach and the largest, most spacious beach around with great snorkeling at Black Rock Beach. You park in the Whaler's Village shopping center garage and walk through the open air shopping area out to the beach for a great beach, great food, great shopping and venture toward the black rocks for great snorkeling and an even more spacious beach. The beach in front of Ka'anapali Beach Club is nice but it's fairly narrow, especially at high tide so Black Rock Beach is a great, close alternative if Ka'anapali Beach is packed or there isn't much to offer for sand. Ka'anapali was better for ocean play & boogie boarding. We also found an awesome hidden breakfast and lunch spot (but very popular so get there early, like 7:30-8am) about 10 minutes north called The Gazebo. It's tucked into another condo complex but sits right on the beach and is not hard to find if you follow the signs. EXCELLENT breakfast and lunch! So good that we went back twice! We did find that most places had only been open a few weeks to just over a month (some opened at Thanksgiving time, others the day after Christmas, we were there from the Jan 2nd-10th) after being closed since March. It was obvious that they were all still getting back into the swing of things and the food on the whole island left a little to be desired, in general. Our best meals were actually some of our more affordable ones, ironically. Remember that 9-10 months closed does impact businesses significantly so we just tried to have grace. Many places were still closed or permanently closed."
